I recently had a listen to a rather interesting podcast on structure, taken by Jacob Krueger. For those who don't know, Jacob is a well known film tutor, who probably doesn't get the credit he deserves considering the way he teaches and how useful it is to many screenwriters around the world. I for one was completely blown away by this guy's ideas on structure. His way of defining things worked wonders for me and the way I look at writing and I'm sure it will do the same for others. Just to be clear, Jacob never actually states that 3 Act structure should be a thing that is ignored by us. He says that there are less-intimidating ways to look at it. To prove this, he ran this seminar on his creation: 7 Act structure, which personally changed how I look at constructing my stories. Listen to the podcast here
Enjoy! Dan

Cheers, Michael. A lot of writers don't agree with Krueger, but so far his way of looking at structure is the way that makes the most sense to me. I'll have a look at your four act structure method, as I've heard a friend of mine talk about that before, as well.
