Ladies and Gentlemen with Underwoods (or Computers),
Thursday is national (as much as my house is a nation) Draft Day, in which I buy a box of glazed Pop'ems, several Tejava microbrewed iced teas, sit my candy ass down, and finish the first draft I've been putting off. For anyone that's counting, that's 75 remaining pages of carefully planned script in one (1) day. Can I do it? There's only one way to find out. Wish me luck.
Better yet, join me. Got a draft working? Got someone you can shove a day of responsibilities off on?
See you on Friday!
Clay

Clay, That is serious page work. Good luck to you. Even on my best day - I only cranked out about twenty and then it needed some work with rewrites. Let me know how it goes. I would love to read the draft once it's done. Mark

Alright, so I failed (kinda). I DID manage to write 40 fresh pages of draft in one day, and an additional 5 earlier in the week. I didn't reach my goal (by any means), but I definitely have SOMETHING to show for my work day. I'm also at a point now where I'm excited to finish and I'm not nearly so daunted by the task. 30 more pages to a 90 page script. I know all of you have churned out several of these in the past, so it might not seem as important to you as it is to me, but I'm not really a finisher. I tend to start projects and then they fizzle out. Reportedly, Walter Hill was the same way. This will be my first draft of my first feature length script, and for the first time ever, I feel like I'm actually going to finish it. Thanks everybody for your support up to this point, and I'm excited to have a draft to share in the VERY near future! Clay

Clay....
Good for you ;D Congrats!!
40 pages in one day; 100 pages in 2.5 days; 7 days for a rewrite == 10.5 days. With time off for good behavior this will allow you to write a whopping 30 screenplays a year!!
Better have at it and
Keep Writing!
ps. Seriously, good job.
